As president and owner of a family owned jewelry store founded in 1949, Glenn Manning learned the jewelry trade through hands on experience guided by his father. He quickly learned the value of developing time saving techniques and specialized tools to increase repair production and cut labor costs. With the purchase of his first laser welder in 2000, Glenn realized the time saving potential of the laser welder, as well as the difficulty of manipulating welding wire with speed, and equally important, pin point accuracy. Frustrated with handling wire normally supplied on a spool or loose coil, Glenn created SPEEDWIRE, a disposable color coded wire dispenser that is loaded with either five or ten feet of welding wire. The wire coil is housed in a clear, sealed compartment and fed through a stainless steel guide tube by a finger controlled feed roller. With the ability to feed the wire into the weld smoothly, supported by the tube (as close as 2mm from the weld), the results are extreme accuracy and speed.
